"This is Me"
By Diane Petrucco"I have loved art from the time I could hold a pencil, and I haven't stopped since. Art is my passion, so I continued my love of art all through my school years and after." As you have probably noticed, my work can vary from one artwork to the other, using different mediums and subject matter. I love mediums like acrylics, mixed media, watercolor and gouache, because you can do so much with them. I love the idea of playing and experimenting with different mediums, seeing what works together and what doesn't. I don't like to restrict myself to the one thing. "I want my work to be expressive, bold and colorful, as well as exciting and new. I paint and draw things that I can relate to, or things that have certain meaning to me. I like the softness of fresh flowers, and the calmness of a child's face, to the harshness of a street car or bus; once again it's something about the subject matter that makes me capture it. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do, and I hope you can relate, and see my passion through my eyes and my work." Diane |
